What is an "Animal Team"?
A trained animal actor team typically consists of several very similar looking animal actors, that all play the same role in a script, but each one excels at performing different trained behaviors.
For each project our animals are hired for, we determine whether a ‘team’ will be needed – based on the actions that we will be expected to train our animal(s) to do.
Most ‘teams’ will usually (but not always) have one “hero” animal actors that can perform many of the lead actions that show the animal’s face. There will also be one to two (and depending on the scripted animal action, sometimes more) “backup” animal actors.
For instance, in a typical cat team, you will have one or more:
“Stay Cats” (cats that lay down or sit on a mark and stays)
“A-B cats” (cats that go from one place or mark to another)
“In Arms Cats” (cats that enjoys being held by everyone).
Most trained cat teams will have several cats that enjoy doing additional trained behaviors as well.
Thank you
